Tomorrow Is Our Day of Prayer

Dear praying friend:

In just a few hours, we'll celebrate the National Day of Prayer. Millions will pause throughout the day to pray for America, its leaders, and those serving in the military. Our Prayer Day was founded 62 years ago to remind us that our true solid foundation is from God and His Word. Tomorrow, May 2, has been set aside as a day for Americans to once again ask for God’s involvement in our country: its leaders, schools, families, businesses, church, media, and military.

You are invited to join Chapel friends at a one-hour prayer event.

Unite with millions nationwide and become a prayer warrior tomorrow, from 11:50 a.m. to 1 o'clock, in Chapel in the Pines' worship center.

Each person will sit in a prayer circle made up of seven believers. You'll be given a helpful prayer guide that highlights seven vital "center of power" prayer topics. With each topic, you'll simply spend a few minutes reading a relevant Scripture, then praying aloud individually in your circle for each topic; prayer circles will pray approximately five minutes per topic.

Please pray about your participation in this national event, asking our Father if He'd like you to pray for our country on this significant occasion; carefully listen to His answer.

No need to RSVP.  Arrive ten minutes before noon. Invite and bring a praying friend. Contact our event coordinator, George Farley, at 795-2917, with questions.
