In God We Trust

Taste of Heaven This Year

Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You know that; so think carefully. What does God have for you this year that you can't see or perceive?

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?

— Isaiah 43:19a

Proverbs 3:5 and 6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." What does that look like? It may mean obeying the Word of God, even though it might not appear logical or pleasant. It may mean acting in love towards others, even though you don't feel like it. It may mean meditating on God's goodness rather than worrying about your problems.

Call upon the Heavenly Father to perform His will in you today. Don't impede Him by your own limited thinking or unbelief. All things are possible with God! Pray for spiritual revival in our country. Ask for Jesus to be glorified by this nation, the troops and the government. Look beyond what you can perceive; see the Lord perform miracles!

Backup Scripture: Ephesians 3:14–21 (ESV) . . . Read For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith — that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.  /
