The Man Born Blind — John 9:1–41

Week 5 Facilitator — Miles Gibbons

"I don't have all the answers, but this I know, 'I once was blind but now I see!'"

This passage stresses the fact that we do not have to have a lot of rational explanations for our experience with God. Neither do we need to have a lot of "apologetic" answers to "Where was God?" questions when a tragedy occurs. Instead, we need to simply share with others the life-changing nature of our encounter with God and leave the rest to the Holy Spirit.

No matter whether God gets involved with many tragic struggles in the world, this I know: I once was __________ but now I _________.

This story teaches us that we need to simply share with others the life-changing nature of our encounter with God and leave the rest to the Holy Spirit.

Questions: Do you need to be healed? Have you already been healed? How and why would you share with others how the Holy Spirit has acted (and perhaps continues to act) in your life?
