Simple or Complex Layouts Graphic designers use various methods of combining text, typography, and edited photos to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. Unlike collages, in which numerous photos are laid over one another (as shown on this WCD page), photo layout boards, simple or complex, usually combine framed, separated photos set in rows and columns; add text to layout boards and they tell a story.
Warren Camp has created numerous layout boards (a.k.a. storyboards) that have been published in organization newsletters, church bulletins and brochures, all-purpose fliers and postcards, family albums, Realtor listings, birth and marriage announcements, tourism invitations, and more, as shown below.
Incorporating basic graphic design skills with artistic license, Warren groups framed pictures and text in his unique designs. He also creates layouts that help clients choose design styles for their productions.
