Abby proudly wears her new high school jacket that's become an evangelism resource for her.
Soon after Abigail started classes at high school, she wanted to get a letterman’s jacket. Becoming a junior, her parents were finally able to order her one this August and it came last week. She’s excited to be wearing it!
On her new jacket, Abby has: a varsity letter from the badminton team; multiple patches from the marching band, including a quartermaster patch (her current job); as well as embroidered wording indicating that she’s a member of the Compact Club (a young businessperson’s club) and the Christian Club.
Also embroidered on the back is her favorite verse reference: Isaiah 40:31. She’s worn the jacket only twice but already six or seven fellow students have asked her what Isaiah 40:31 says. Abby proudly recites the verse from memory, sometimes adding verse 30.
Isaiah 40:30-31 (New International Version)
30Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
"That's cool!" is what most then say. And that pleases Abby's heart very much. She prays that, week after week, her coat will draw more and more people to her so she can testify to them the importance of this personal verse.
Abby looks forward to more cooler days when she can wear her jacket and use it as her "witnessing tool."
This is Abby's personal testimony about the evangelical impact
that her new high school jacket has already had on many.

The embroidered reference on the rear of her jacket
highlights Isaiah 40:31 — Abby's favorite verse.
