Once again, I got to be "Brownie Mom" for the Wildcats (a.k.a., the Redlands East Valley High School badminton team), bringing the team dozens of brownies to enjoy.
This was my third year supplying tasty treats to the boys and girls on the REV HS badminton team — it's something of a school tradition that I simply love.
Chocolate is good for just about anything, right?
Abby enjoyed this year's junior varsity season, playing girl's singles and mixed doubles. At the end of each badminton season, the team celebrates its accomplishments with a dinner or banquet, when athletic awards and trophies are presented to all. This year, Abby volunteered to organize, order food, decorate, and coordinate the team's big banquet that's scheduled for May 13.

Abby and racquet sit patiently, awaiting the big event.

The anticipated event is "brownies treats". Badminton team members enjoy
eating Marti's brownies as they wait their turn to play.

Who's not enjoying those wonderful brownies?

Riddle: What do brownies and badminton have in common?
Answer: Both depend on being served well.
(Note the
"NO FOOD IN GYM" sign they're honoring.)
