Trinity Church's Annual "Missions Conference"

by Marti and Dale Fisher

Last week, our family church, Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Redlands, California, had its best-ever annual missions conference. We bring this news to you because we, like most missionaries, participate in a number of church mission conferences every year. During this one, we were one of six featured missionaries.

Dale and Marti proudly display the Kenyan flag.We enjoyably shared our ministry through workshops, conversations at our display table, and several speaking opportunities at home Bible-study groups and a panel discussion. Proudly carrying the Kenyan flag during our procession into the church, each of us later highlighted and promoted our upcoming Kenya mission trip, inviting appropriate people to join us in this vital outreach effort.

Because our church had flown in a missionary couple, Honduran nationals Dr. Enrique and Norma Martinez, we also hosted an informational dessert at our home last week so that they could personally invite medical professionals to attend an upcoming, short-term medical project in Honduras that they'll conduct in July. Fortunately, several doctors, nurses, and a dentist joined us, each expressing interest in participating in this year's Trinity-sponsored mission effort in Honduras.

You'll see and hear Enrique and Norma, and others, share their ministry and partnership with Trinity Church. Although a number of testimonials of children and adults are spoken in Spanish, English-speaking viewers will enjoy the large subtitles appearing on each frame.

During the Trinity Church missions conference, we also spoke to the "20-Somethings Bible study group" (shown below in the final photo) and shared with them our Campus Crusade for Christ ministry, while challenging them to join us on our Kenya mission project this summer. Patrick, a genome biology grad student, said that he'd give our mission information to this brother who might be interested in joining us.

During every one of our conference efforts, we all had a marvelous time. We trust that the Martinez medical mission in Honduras will be extremely successful. And you can be sure that the two of us are eager to head out for Kenya on June 20, with God's blessings.

Marti kicks off her church's missions conference by highlighting
all that her three-week Kenya mission this June will accomplish.

At Trinity Church's annual Missions Conference, Dale had an opportunity to announce
the recent peace accord in Kenya and then promote his upcoming Kenya Mission, lasting
from June 20 to July 11, and invite church members to join his and Marti's mission team.

Would you be interested in making a world of difference in Kenya this summer?
If you personally feel that you've been called to serve God on this mission, let Dale know.

In addition to inviting people to join the Martinez's Honduras mission, the Fishers celebrate
the work that Dr. Enrique and Norma Martinez (left) have done and are about to do on their
upcoming medical mission to Honduras this July.

During the annual missions conference, Dale and Marti presented their Campus Crusade
for Christ ministry to this Bible study group of "young 20-somethings" and invited each
to join their Kenya mission. One young man, Patrick, believes that his brother probably
has an interest in joining the Fisher's team. Marti and Dale eagerly await his decision.

The upcoming medical mission to Honduras, and the multi-purpose mission effort in Kenya, are both designed to further our Lord God's kingdom. Kindly join the two of us in praying that both missionary efforts will provide funding donations for a reliable boat and roof in Kenya; increased recruitment of team members for both missions; safe travel to/from/throughout Honduras and Kenya; and good health for every one of the missions' participants.
Please also pray that through these missions, a lasting "Jesus impression" will be left on all we touch.
Thank you very much for your interest, contributions, and ongoing prayer support.
