God Is Always on Time

The following is a recent email from our national missionary friend, the Kenyan missionary who the Fisher family works with on the Coast of Kenya. Early this morning (Friday, July 8), Andrew and Brendan boarded the plane for Kenya; later today, Abby will do the same.

The following story about mosquito nets is very precious because, through these nets, we can show the love of the Lord. If used properly, they can cut the incidence of malaria by 50 percent so more people will stay alive.

See the photo below showing Andrew giving families their own mosquito net two years ago.

GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME

Marti's side of the story:
I had never sent money to our national missionary friend through Western Union but this day I tried it and it went immediately. This money had been made through a garage sale and was needed in Kenya right away. I completed the transaction and little did I know how "on time" it was.

Her side of the story (11 hours ahead of California time):
It's important to wait on God's timeTHANK YOU Marti, I received the text message and the money in good time. We ordered 200 mosquito nets and yesterday they called and said they were delivering today at 9.30am from Mombasa. I did not have money but i had faith that i will pay on delivery not knowing where i will get the money. In my heart the Holy spirit kept on reminding me of this scripture ,"do not be anxious over anything---------- but let your request be made unto the lord. GOD was very faithful. In the morning they called and said they will be a bit late and deliver at 10am and I said I am waiting. I got the message at 8.30am of the money sent through western union. I went to the KCBank at excatly 10am and collected the money before they arrived. By the time they arrived, the money was ready and no body even knew what had happened. See how faithful GOD works. He came at the right time, He is soo good, so faithful and desires us to know him more. What a timing.!!!

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor (Isaiah 61:1–2a).

Mosquito Bed Nets Save Lives!

Andrew hands a valuable mosquito net to a smiling mother. Other village locals eagerly await receipt of their own life-saving net.

Costing the team $0.88 per net, part of the cost was had been subsidized by the Kenyan government. Each net has been treated with pyrethrum, a naturally occurring chemical in a type of flower; it will kill malaria-carrying mosquitoes on contact for up to 5 years.

Last year, the Mission Kenya 2010 team distributed 240 treated nets to families in two villages.
