As a missionary family, we try to cultivate relationships with our neighbors so we can minister to them spiritually.
During our morning walks, we pray for our neighbors. A young woman who lives nearby and who teaches psychology in a local junior college, hasn't shown any interest in Christian things for the past four years. She's unchurched and unmarried. Her son lives with her and his dad visits them a few times weekly.
About a month ago, Dale asked the father if he could pray for him. Sadly, he said, "No."
Recently, the mother seems to have warmed up to us and to Christianity. Marti asked her to a Christmas Ladies Tea at our church. She came and enjoyed herself. The Gospel was clearly presented at the tea.
Three weeks later, we invited her to sing Christmas carols with us in our neighborhood. She had a cold but, surprisingly, she and her four-year-old son joined us and the two enjoyed themselves singing with our team of carolers.
No other neighbors joined us, but one neighbor took the following photo. It's exciting to see this young woman begin to thaw out about Christianity. Isn't God always at work in our lives!
God answers prayer. Please pray that she'll continue on her spiritual journey, soon getting closer to Christ and making a decision to trust Him as her personal Savior and Lord.
Thank you, God.

This next photo shows the Fisher ensemble preparing to begin its big caroling procession, helping neighbors celebrate the birth of our Savior!
