This summer, a team of six, mostly from the Fisher family's church, Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Redlands, California, headed to coastal Kenya to serve Jesus and encourage a local missionary and her family.
Starting June 22, in Malindi, Kenya, the six-person mission team, made up of four Fisher family members (Dale, Marti, Abby, and Andrew) and Sally Hazell and Jim Ardill, began many facets of ministry. With the Lord's blessing, care, and assistance, the team handily took care of the following assignments.
Before you view the following photo collection of "mission team action shots," the team wants to thank you for your many prayers and generous support that you provided. You were "the senders" who enabled “the goers” to sow many seeds there.
As you can see, God took care of His team very well.

Dale teaches at the Pastors' and Christian Leaders' Conference near Malindi, while,
outside this church, other mission team members concurrently taught
approximately 75 children at a vacation Bible school.

Dale (foreground) and Jim closed the pastor's conference with a ceremony of foot washing
that included handing out towels to demonstrate the day's conference topic — servant leadership.

Dale teaches community members how to use their new mosquito net.

Mission team members Marti (left) and Sally set up and organize the pharmacy.

Abby enjoys helping run the pharmacy, which was near the doctor consultation room
and the wound care room. Outside, the team taught health care.

Andrew hands a valuable mosquito net to a smiling mother of a newborn child.
The team distributed 240 treated nets to people in two villages.

A mosquito bed net is being put to good use. Costing the team $0.88 per net,
part of the cost was had been subsidized. Each net has been treated
with pyrethrim, a naturally occurring chemical in a type of flower
that will kill mosquitoes on contact for up to 5 years.

Outside the clinic, people wait to be seen. This blind woman and her son leave after being told
that the clinic couldn't provide the advanced medical attention she needed.

One of the mission's clinical nurses treats a young boy having foot and leg injuries.

Team members get comfortable with their reliable transport vehicle.

A guide pilots the sturdy and reliable 15-foot boat with its new
25-hp Yamaha outboard motor that the team donated to the tribe.
This young girl was very happy after she received her first toy ever:
a Beanie Baby doll named Mr. Froggie. Nearly 300 Beanie Baby dolls
were given to deserving children of all ages.

This is a newly constructed school building with a corrugated-steel roof that was purchased with
the team's garage sale funds. The school has three classrooms. The photo was taken on the first day
the clinic opened. Mostly women and children are lining up to be seen and treated by nurses.

The school dedication was a popular event that included prayers, a meeting of the village elders,
and people making short speeches and words of appreciation.

The team built and gave the school seven new desks. Bottoms and sides were pine,
tops made out of mango (a hardwood), all the work was done by hand in three days.
No power tools were used (there was no electricity).

Dale smiles as he sets up the video projector, DVD player, and speakers
for the evening showing of The Jesus Film. Approximately 200 people
would see it in a variety of languages during each of five team presentations.

Marti took this amazing photo at one of The Jesus Film showings. In it you can see a number of women
wearing head scarves watching the part of the film where Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth, whose head
is similarly covered with a head scarf. It's as if today's remote Kenyan village women are watching
Bible-time ladies — and they're all dressed similarly.
Pleased with how the trip went, the team members want to thank God for what He did on this journey. They praise God for His great goodness and for how well He's doing His work in the visited areas.
With the Lord's assistance, the mission team was able to provide encouragement to a number of Kenyans who are trying to make a difference for Jesus with their lives in this remote Muslim area. What a difference they're making daily.
"Praise You, Lord!"
