Abby's "Kenya Mission 2010" Update
Live from Kenya

by Warren Camp (the Fishers' Web guy)

One of the documents that Dale emailed to me for the Fisher family's August publications was an emailed letter (linked below) that he'd received from Abby who is now serving the Lord in Kenya. Dale thought that it would be good to update you on how and what she and her mission team members were doing after their first week there.
Before creating Abby's Web update page, I read her account. After finishing it and reflecting on all they'd done so far and what they still plan to do, I immediately prayed.
I asked the Lord God (a) to continue caring for the health and safety of the mission team members, as well as the local missionary family that partners with the team each year and (b) enable the many people who were befriended by the team, healed at the team's clinic, taught at the sewing center, had their properties upgraded with new latrines, and were shown the Jesus Film to soon see and feel the love and power of Savior Jesus.
I also prayed for the team's upcoming prayer and fasting vigil, asking our Father to empower the team in this effort, enabling each member to reach out and, through their joint prayer efforts, make disciples of the many people there who are hungering to be fed by Jesus.
After you read Abby's two-page update about Mission Kenya 2010's first-week's efforts, I invite and encourage you to pray similarly for this worthwhile mission. Please give the team your prayer support for their remaining days of missionary service. Thanks, very much.

Warren

36When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field" (Matthew 9:36–38).
