Frequently Asked Questions

AWANA Clubs is one of Chapel in the Pines’ Christian youth ministries. Aimed at reaching children and their families with the Gospel of Christ, AWANA provides kids with a variety of enjoyable opportunities to participate in exciting games, theme nights, fulfilling Bible studies, and Scripture memorization. About to begin our ninth club season at the Chapel, AWANA Clubs invites boys and girls, from 3 years of age to 12th-graders, to join one of the six clubs.

Question:  What do kids want after they’ve been to their first AWANA Clubs meeting?
Answer:  They want to come back for more!

Question:  Why?
Answer:  Because AWANA is FUN!

A kids' ministry without fun is a ministry without kids. That’s why AWANA takes fun “seriously.” Club meetings are so exciting that kids can’t wait to come back for more!

But fun is only the start. While kids are having a blast, they’re learning and growing, too. In each AWANA club, middle school, and or high school youth program, they participate in games and activities that train their bodies. They learn verses and spiritual truths that expand their minds. They encounter life lessons that feed their souls. Parents quickly discover that AWANA is a fun approach to a serious calling when they see caring, trained leaders investing time, love, and wisdom in shaping their children's lives.

Question:  What do kids learn at AWANA?
Answer:  The Chapel’s AWANA Clubs teaches children that God is real, He loves them, and He has expressed that love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Kids also learn how God can help them in their daily lives. No matter which club children are in, each week’s Bible-based lesson teaches them how to obey God in this complex world.

The goal of AWANA is to give boys and girls the opportunity to know, love, and serve God. While it’s a serious mission, we believe having fun in the process is a great tool for reaching young people to extend God’s love. It’s our desire to influence our Highway 4 mountain community and to train children for leadership. See what makes our AWANA Clubs weekly adventure so unique.
