2006 Children's Ministry Conference Theme:
"It Takes a Shepherd"

Because you're a leader, children and youth depend on you. You’re there for discipleship, teaching, and encouraging their walk of faith. That’s why the theme for 2006 AWANA Children's Ministry Conferences is “It Takes a Shepherd.” It really does take a shepherd to lead kids to Christ and help them develop lives of service to Him.
Want to be a better shepherd? Attend the fall conference with your eyes, ears, minds, and hearts wide open for change. And take notes!

Opportunities Abound for Leaders
at Our Fall Conference

This year AWANA Children's Ministry Conferences will offer us five tracks of workshops and general sessions: new Basic Training Orientation, Challenge to Excellence, Rorheim Institute, and 24-7 Ministries for youth.

AWANA Clubs International believes that Leadership Training Conferences (LTCs) are a vital resource for "shepherds." It sees LTCs as "The most important day in the AWANA calendar year." See what other Awana leaders are saying.

Training to Equip the Next Generation

AWANA established Rorheim Institute — a leader and parent training network — to address an alarming erosion of biblical values in America among our youth and born-again adults. AWANA's goal is to help churches effectively disciple their members and empower parents and ministry workers to reach and train this generation for the kingdom. The Rorheim Institute training track includes four parts: Vision Conference, Shepherding Parents, Rock-Solid Kids, and Rock-Solid Teachers.
Awana Children's Ministry Conference, is a one-day event for every volunteer in our AWANA program — and Sunday school teachers, youth group workers, parents, and pastors, too. Training conferences have general sessions and workshops that provide ideas, instruction, and inspiration to help leaders maximize their ministry by becoming better shepherds.
Pick a date and mark your calendar: September 30 in Cupertino or October 7 in Merced. Carpool rides will be provided. Contact Commander _____ for more information and to sign up.
